Publishing checklist

A practical check before you publish

Review framing, sound, captions and the final frame in the rendered video.

Watch the file you will actually share

Open the finished MP4, not just the editor preview. Start at the beginning and watch through the end once without stopping. Then revisit anything that distracted you.

Check the intended output shape and resolution. Increasing resolution cannot restore detail that was missing from the original recording. Choose a sensible compression level for the destination and keep a higher-quality copy when useful.

Check context and framing

Make sure the opening establishes what is happening and the ending does not cut off the thought. Watch faces and important objects after every cut, especially when the layout changes.

Review titles and graphics near the edges. Editing selection borders and guides are not part of the export, but the actual text still needs space away from platform controls.

Listen as well as look

Listen for sudden changes in loudness, a music bed covering speech, or a sound effect arriving at the wrong moment. Check headphones and speakers if both are available.

Audio cleanup can reduce some noise, but it cannot reliably separate people talking over each other. Lower unnecessary background audio instead of expecting a filter to repair every source problem.

Keep the files and permissions you need

Store the final MP4, subtitle files and original recording outside the temporary workspace. If you used library footage or audio, retain its credits and comply with the applicable permission requirements.

Publishing and post-performance tracking remain your responsibility. A polished export is a better starting point, not a guarantee of reach or earnings.
